Location: Pompeii ruins
Place: Pompeii forum
This was the main forum of Pompeii. There's not much left now, but it's still cool isn't it? The
diplay in the next picture is just on the right side of this picture of the forum. It doesn't seem
especially interesting, but this is just one of the major areas of Pompeii. Some other places we
looked at were a bath house, and a fast food restaurant.
Note: Apparently there are around 27 stray dogs that live in Pompeii right now, not all are as cute as this one...
Location: Pompeii, on the side of the forum.
Place: A museum with artifacts from Pompeii.
This display holds a lot of artifacts that have been recovered from Pompeii, including casts of two
people and a dog that died and were preserved in ash afterwards. This is just one section of the
display because that's all that could fit in the picture. The artifacts used to be kept out in the
open, but people kept stealing them, so they were put in this display with bars to stop people from
taking them. A lot of it is just pots and plate and other things usually used for food, but the
really unique stuff is kept in the center of the display. This is one of the most interesting
parts of Pompeii, because it has so much stuff crammed into this little area.
Location: Just outside the Pompeii ruins.
Object: Lemons! Huge lemons!
Look at the lemons! They're huge! You can find stuff like this all around in this area. They even
have fruit trees on the streets instead of reggular ones. If i could, i would've brought back a
lemon. You might not be able to tell but those lemons are like the size of my head. They are also
big on oranges. Oranges and lemons are everywhere around here. Not just Pompeii, but on Capri and
in Sorrento, which is where our hotel was.
Location: Capri.
Picture: The beautiful coastline of Capri.
Capri is the perfect place for taking pictures. It's really a beautiful place, with lots of beautiful
views, and some really really expensive shops. You can't tell from this picture, but the water there
is really clear. We took a boat tour around the island and i highly reccomend it! It's not really as
history filled as most of the other cities, but it's still a great place to go. Go on a sunny day
though because otherwise it would ruin it.
