On the day I bought my new camera, my sister and I headed up to Playfair park, me to figure out
how to work this thing, and her to ride my old bike. I hadn't been there in years, and had forgotten
how beautiful the park is when everything's in bloom.
This picture was actually taken just outside my house. Apparently it's a thistle or something, but I just
think it looks cool. Yay, my first macro!
These pictures were all taken while wondering through the maze of paths at Playfair that are
surrounded by flowering bushes and Gary Oak trees.
I had to lie on my back and take the picture upside down to get this shot, while my exasperated
sister tapped her foot impatiently, but I think it was worth it. That grass was itchy.
These two trees had grown together and then were sawn down for whatever reason. They've been like that
for as long as I can remember, and now host a nest of red ants.
An interesting perspective on this huge curved tree down in the lower part of the park.
I got something in my eye taking this shot, but was too good to miss.
These are just to give you an idea of the park. This is the back field.
Primitive vandilism. They could have at least used spray paint!
This tree looks like it should belong in Hawaii. I want one.
I'm quite proud of these ones. I've got a print-off of the next one framed on the wall in my room:
I guess if I was a professional, I'd have to tell you what all these flowers were called... Oh well.
I was so happy when I found this little guy sitting there. This picture has been my desktop background
ever since.
