Grade 9

I don't think I can even find the right words to describe Ana. She is the craziest of us all and never at a loss to make any situation as awkward as possible. Don't be surprised if you find her rolling around in the hallways giggling uncontrollably or decorating your locker "Ana Style." It's to be expected. I've known her since grade six, when I really started to get to know the real Ana that she hides from unknowing adults. The quiet and meek facade that she puts on around parents doesn't fool us, because we know in actuality that she is extremely loud, boisterous and full of a spirit that we all love.

The words Ana and shy should not be allowed in the same sentence. She's unique and loveable and can always manage to make you laugh. Even though she sometimes likes to play rebel with the rules, she is still responsible and sensible when it comes to school. Aren't we all, though, when most of us are in Challenge? It's her carefreeness that infects us, letting us forget our worries if only for a while.

Automotives are her big interest, and only she could pull off being the only girl in her entire Mechanics class. Smart girl, she is. She's never short on funny little tales from Mechanics, usually consisting of the superiority of her knowledge to those of boys and how they can make any innocent remark she makes into something twisted. Nothing is ever boring when Ana is involved, because she adds her hilarious input to every conversation and cracks a smile on even the most impassive of faces. She is our little crazy girl, the one we always count on for a laugh, and the one that doesn't have a single care what others think of her. She's taught me that life can be difficult, but you have the strength to pull through even when struggling with hard lessons. It just takes a little bit of laughter, a little bit of recklessness, and a lot of courage.
