I've only known Jessie for about a year and a half, but years mean nothing. We act like we've
known each other for decades and experienced a lifetime of events that have strengthened our
friendship. Jessie is one of the tall girls as well, part of the trio that Charlie, her and I
belong to, because us tall girls need to stick together. Like me, she likes to express herself
in her writing, though literature is her preferred subject in English. She’s all about the old
works of famous authors and history. She loves history. She is one of the most genuine and honest
people I know, never afraid to speak her mind and without worrying about the judgment of others.
It’s one of the main reasons we’re such great friends, because why let others control your life?
Jessie also shares my love of fan fiction, of which I am most grateful. We have endless discussions about the latest stories we’ve read and see the about authors who have no idea how to write. We are nerdy, and not afraid to admit it. I can confide anything in her, and I never have to worry about being judged. She is understanding and sympathetic and can laugh at just about anything. Sometimes she is a bit too unsubtle, and it usually ends in a giggling fit and blushing pink faces. But that’s a part of growing up, of experiencing new things. |
