Controls

Controls on the Nintendo Wii

control stick (nunchuck) - move Amaterasu
swing Wii remote - attack with primary weapon
Z button (nunchuck) - use secondary weapon
A button (remote) - jump
C button (nunchuck) - use special skills
hold B button (remote) - activate celestial brush
hold B + hold A + move remote - draw with celestial brush
swing nunchuck - evade (requires dojo skill)
+ button (remote) - bring up pause menu
directional pads (remote) - move camera

Cursed zone

Areas where amaterasu cannot venture, can be dispelled by reviving guardian saplings using bloom (first one is a puzzle)

Solar Energy

Amaterasu's health, if it runs out its game over (can be upgraded by collecting sun fragments)

Ink Pots

Whenever Amaterasu uses brush techniques a pot of ink is used (bonus techniques cost more) if you run out Amaterasu loses all abilities except attack and jump for a short while

Yen

Currency of the game, is collected by defeating demons and breaking pots

Astral Pouch

By collecting food Amaterasu fills the Astral pouch which, when full, will revive Amaterasu once if she dies, upgrading allows multiple astral pouches to be filled at once

Holy Artifacts

Holy artifacts give special passive effects when equiped, up to three can be equiped at once

Praise

Whenever Amaterasu helps people and/or nature she gets praise which can be used to upgrade statistics such as solar energy, ink pots, wallet size, and astral pouch

Fighting

Throughout the world are demon scrolls, if Amaterasu touches one she is entraped in a ghostly arena where she has to fight demons to escape, can also be done by attacking a hole in the arena that can open to allow escape

Stray Beads

Hidden throughout Nippon are 100 stray beads, something special will happen if you collect them all

Weapon types

Reflector

Weapon balanced with speed and power, shields when used as a sub-weapon

Rosary

Fast, far reaching weapon with low attack power, shoots long range shots when equiped as a sub-weapon

Glaive

Slow, close range weapon with great strength
