thefts have been reported. Recommended that students do not bring
expensive bikes to school

of students for drugs. 5 day suspension for first offenses, second offense
could be expulsion.
5. Treasurer's Report - Lindy England
- Presented
proposed budget (attached)
- Moved
(Mike Decker) and seconded (Marla Turner) to accept budget
- Discussion:
- last
year's budget should be included,
- process
this year was quite different because of many more requests and 50% less
money from gaming commission
- balance
was sought between athletics/fine arts/ technology
- administration
thought process went well and will notify recipients of amounts upon
receipt of official letter from treasurer
- as France
trip was not eligible for PAC funds, $2000 more was given to music and
- clarification
on how bills are paid, and on rules for spending money from gaming
commission
6. Fine Arts Committee Report - Caroline Hulbert
- Caroline
presented a well thought out plea for Fine Arts Facilities (Attached) and
answered questions from the group.

of Saanich
possible sources for funds
- Keith
is going to school board with first set of plans and there was a request
that PAC see plans and get an update on the process
- Fund
raising ideas:

benefit with alumni association

Dance off in Feb.

Infrastructure grant (federal, provincial, municipal)

7. President's Report - Tony Goodman
- Scholarships
awarded to Sarah Hornett and Catherine Haywood
- Examine
balance of fine arts awards with other areas
- Streamline
the process for applications for PAC funds by having departmental
applications
- Rep
for VCCPAC: Cindy Brar will look into the dates
for meetings and if possible will be the rep.
8. Other Business - Pat Blundon
- request for PAC to get license to hold a 50/50 draw at
FOPA concert.
