- Busy time now with year-end and graduation activities
- Last Dance will be on April 20 - volunteers already in place
- Pep rally coming up
- Environment Club activities: school cleanup, student awareness

890 students next year but school's projections show 1015

Last year there were 22 new
teachers in a staff of 55

Reduction in students means
possibly staff will have to be reducing by 4

Layoff notices last year (given
based on predicted staffing needs) went as high as 8 years seniority

Comparison graphs between
school, district, public and province were presented: for grades 10 and 12, all
courses, school vs. provincial marks

Grade 10 exam vs. school
results showed wider variance than expected as exam content was not familiar to
teachers
- Treasurer's Report - Lindy England
- Extra funds received from the province to PAC are $21,488
- These funds can be used in any manner, unlike the Bingo funds
- Reviewed the budget report based on granted funding requests

Not everyone is expending there
allocations

Establish an April 30 deadline
for informing us of the expected usage by year end as we have additional
funding requests totalling ~ $6600
- Emergency Preparedness report - Carla Lewis-Stuart
- Has list of goods to provide a very basic setup which will
cost ~ $6000 to obtain
- Need to empower Rob House to stock the kiosk
- Send out a call for donated equipment

Drop off day is May 7
- Music Parents report - Pat Blundon
- Next meeting is May 9, at which new executive will be elected
- Active fundraising has started for a trip to Hawaii next spring
- Fine Arts report - Pat Blundon
- Dance-a-Thon is the next big event on May 14
- Kaleidoscope Theatre has expressed and interest in being a
partner

funding through Heritage Canada
and other foundations
