  1. Call to Order - Tony Goodman
    • Meeting called to order at 7:05
    • Agenda and minutes circulated

 

  1. Minutes from April. general meeting - Tony Goodman
    • Accepted as distributed

 

  1. Student Leadership Report - Melissa Cossaro
    • Spring dance, Pep rally, Paper Airplane contest, and staff luncheon to promote cafeteria were all successful
    • Dance-a-thon coming up to raise money for Fine Arts complex
    • Election next week

 

  1. Administration Report - Keith McCallion
    • Media release will announce Mt. Doug placed 7th in province and 1st on Vancouver Island in Math competition (all categories)
    • School Planning Council needs to review data and submit new plan
    • Attendance and lates have improved by 9% ( goal was 10%)
    • Discussed suspension procedure, in particular as it relates to coming to dances under the influence of drugs or alcohol. At the present it is a 5 day suspension
    • Problems associated with school dances is on the teachers' agenda
