  1. Call to Order - Debbie Ibaraki
    • Meeting called to order at 7:10 p.m.
    • Agenda and attachments circulated.

 

  1. Minutes from March Meeting
    • Corrections made
    • Minutes from Jan. and Feb. need to be adopted
    • Formatting problems reported on website. Will be checked

 

  1. Leadership Report - No representative

 

  1. Administration Report - Keith McCallion
    • Saanich Police scheduled to talk to staff at Pro D day about new drug program. Parents welcome.
    • 95% of course forms are in and 2006/07 timetable is being built based on the needs of students.
    • Tentative calendar for 2006/07 to be finalized by May 31

  1. Chair's Report - Debbie Ibaraki
    • Teachers to let PAC know by May 17 if they will be spending all allotted funds
    • Tony sent a letter to Ministry regarding different forms for provincial exams. He received a lengthy response that will be shared at May 17 meeting.
    • Qualities of Principal: Wording was clarified and edited. Suggestion made to add header with RAMPAC, date and chairman's signature on document. Moved by Lindy, seconded by Lance

 

  1. Communication Report - Candice Hughes
    • Communication Board: needs to display Bingo Esquimalt sign and perhaps be in a more prominent spot.
    • Discussion about sending out minutes on email to keep parents informed.

 

  1. Treasurer's Report - Lindy England
    • Bingo Esquimalt funding for 3 more years
    • Reported amounts still available for each group that requested funds.
    • Photocopier has a new company taking over servicing.
    • Suggested that money used for photocopier leasing and upkeep be reviewed to see if it is a good way to use PAC money.

 

  1. Emergency Preparedness - No representative

 

  1. Fine Arts Report - Candice Hughes
    • Will run concession for Musical.
    • Fine Arts Festival will be held May 6 from 1-5. Event being promoted at Cedar Hill Art event this weekend, by distribution of flyers and on Shaw.

 

  1. Fundraising - Bill Hampton
    • Someone needed for Bingo on Friday. Email to be sent.
    • Thrifty's Smile Card is reviewing process. Other groups need to apply in fall. They cannot be added to existing group.
