1. Call to Order Daryl Cowden
Meeting was called to order at 7 p.m.
2. Treasurer's Report Lindy England
Parent contributions were approximately $3570. Scholarships (2 x $500) were dispersed.
3.VCPAC Report Lori Elder
Lori mentioned SNIPS - newsletter and let know AGM at Tillicum School, 315 Albina at 7 pm. Information available regarding Foundation Skills Assessing and School Planning Councils
4. Admin/School Report John Fawcett
· Parent-Teacher Interviews Thursday. School out at noon
· Funding changes to education will affect our school. Updates will be available in the next school newsletter
· In memory of alumni Dr. Shelley Martin who died this year in a car accident, her family has established an endowment fund of $10,000 at Mt. Doug with a plaque for the school. Approximately $500 per year will be awarded to a senior student in English. PAC donated $50 towards this.
· Seismic Upgrade: The strapping phase will begin in February. Construction will take place in 2 classrooms per week taking about one week for each. The third phase will involve tubing on the ceiling of the gym.
· Michelle Leonard shared videos of dance performances which showcased new costumes.
5. Other Business:
· Traffic Calming: Draft letter presented and discussed.
· Next meeting AGM, January 16, 2008 with information presented regarding seismic upgrade
· Teacher Appreciation Lunch is December 12. Please contact Daryl Cowden if you are able to help
